TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. CONTRACT
a. The online submission form together with the contents of this document forms a contract between you and us for the delivery of the training programme.

2. PAYMENT
a. For individual courses under £1000 full payment is required to book your place
b. Training courses totalling over £1000 booked more than 10 weeks in advance can be booked with a 20% deposit
i. The deposit is non refundable
ii. Your deposit will reserve your place until 10 weeks prior to the start date of your course where paragraph 5 (final payment) will apply
c. Full payment is required at the time of booking for training courses totalling over £1000 booked within 10 weeks of the course starting
d. Final payment
i. The final balance of fees are due 10 weeks prior to the course start date (this date is detailed on your final invoice)
ii. If the full payment is not received on the due date the PBA reserves the right to reallocate or cancel the place
e. Credit card charges
i. Payments made by credit card will incur a 1.5% charge. American Express payments will be charged at 3.5%. There is no charge for payments made by
debit card or PayPal.
3. CANCELLATION
a. Cancellation must be made in writing to the course Director. The effective date will be the date on which the notification is received
b. Cancellation of training courses modules are subject to the following conditions;
i. Cancellation less than 10 days prior to the course start date will result in no refund of fees
ii. Cancellation within 21 days results in charge of 75% of course fee
iii. Cancellation before 4 weeks entitles you to a full refund
c. Cancellation of STCW, AEC, SSO and Advanced Fire Fighting are subject to the following conditions;
i. Cancellation less than 4 weeks prior to the course start date will result in no refund of fees
ii. Cancellation more than 4 weeks but less than 10 weeks will be entitled to a 25% refund
iii. Cancellation more than 10 weeks before the start date will receive a refund of 50% of the course fee
d. We reserve the right to postpone, cancel or alter the dates of provision of a course and/or the venue of the course. In such an event you will be
transferred to the next available course provided that you continue to meet any necessary pre-entry conditions for that course.
e. This applies particularly to any SIA regulated course or any course where your fitness condition is a prerequisite to acceptance.
4. FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
a. Candidates will typically be accommodated on location in bunk style rooms with 2-12 people sharing, however, at busy periods or where circumstances
dictate, alternative local accommodation may be provided off-site. Accommodation starts from the first day of your training. If you require
accommodation for the night before your course starts you must book and pay for this prior to your arrival, as this is not included in your course fees
b. Single and twin room upgrade accommodation is available on request for an additional charge and must be booked and paid for in advance of your
arrival. Demand for this accommodation is high and applicants are advised to book early to avoid disappointment
c. Meals are not included in the course fee.
5. PERSONAL EFFECTS
a. We, our servants, employees or agents are under no liability in respect of any loss or damage to students’ property or belongings.
6. ADJUSTMENT OF CONDITIONS
a. We reserves the right to alter prices where necessary
b. Cancel courses up to 3 weeks before the start date
c. Request a student to withdraw from the course
d. Change the advertised programme
7. EXCLUSIONS
a. Personal insurance for accident or loss is not included in the course fees
b. Accommodation for the night before your course is not included in the course fee. (See paragraph 4.a.)
c. Accommodation is not included for one day courses.
d. Food and extra accommodation is not included in the course fee. (See paragraph 4. c.)
e. Cost for travel is not included in the course fee
8. FORCE MAJEURE
a. We cannot be responsible for matters outside its control. These include but not by way of limitation, outbreak of hostilities, civil commotion, riot, storm,
earthquake, or any act of God effecting the conduct of the course. In the event we will endeavour to minimise the effects but will not be liable to refund
any fee or pay any compensation.
9. PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO
a. Photographs taken during training may appear in our brochures and marketing materials and for PR purposes. If customers do not wish to be
photographed this should be raised with the course instructor.
10. PERSONAL FITNESS/SUITABILITY
a. Because of the nature of some of the training it is essential that the course manager is aware of any legal, medical or physical condition that could have
a bearing on your ability to carry out the course. It is a condition of the our acceptance that all candidates inform us if any of the following conditions
apply to you.
i. Any criminal conviction/s at home or abroad that may prohibit you from working in the Security Industry in the UK.
ii. Any current or previous medical condition which may reoccur (or period of medication) which is likely to prevent you from fully participating in the course
iii. Any incidence of diabetes, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis or depression
iv. Any incidence of alcohol dependency past or present
v. Any incidence of drug or substance abuse past or present
vi. Any period of mental or emotional instability including any breakdown which required psychiatric treatment
vii. Any major incident ashore or afloat, whose trauma may have an effect on your suitability to attend the courses
b. Non-disclosure
i. Failure to disclose this information will be regarded as a breach of contract and will result in the termination of training without refund of fees
ii. The disclosure of the information will not automatically prevent you from attending the course
iii. All information will be treated in strictest confidence
